Mike Butts - President, LBM Solutions Mike firmly believes that professional training and educational programs are investments in a company's future that will return positive dividends in increased efficiency, improved margins, increased customer service and ultimately in a more successful and balanced business. Mike is at the forefront of the Installed Sales movements in the lumber industry with a number of years of practical "hands-on" implementations and experience in developing and managing successful Installed Sales programs at the dealer level. Mike served for eight years as the Vice President of the Michigan Lumber and Building Material Association. While there he became known nationally as a recognized industry speaker, delivering his exciting, entertaining and motivational business-building seminars and workshops across the country. Many of the ProSales 100 lumber and building material dealers have individually contracted with Mike to provide customized programs for their staff. In addition, Mike is a frequent and well-received speaker at industry trade shows and events sponsored by retail members, buying groups, federated lumber associations and ProSales Magazine's Industry Summit. He is well versed in all aspects of customer service strategy training, motivational methods, sales training, margin management, yard foreman operations, and successful Installed Sales operations.Until recently, Mike worked as the Director of Installed Sales for United Building Centers, part of the Lanoga group of companies, where he oversaw the company's extensive growth of Installed Sales to the professional builder/contractor. During his tenure, he facilitated an increase in market size and penetration six-fold and an increase in sales of almost 200 percent, making the company a serious force in the Installed Sales arena for professional builders and contractors.Mike is also a featured columnist in ProSales magazine. His column - "New Dimensions" has received numerous accolades from the readership of the magazine. Mike literally "wrote the book" on Installed Sales. His work "Key Issues for Installed Sales" was published by the National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA). He also has written a number of articles and programs for other industry publications, all designed to enhance the performance of both the novice and professional employee. Mike is a member of the ProSales magazine Advisory Board and a standing member of the ProSales Excellence Awards judging panel. He is a member of the Professional Society of Sales and Marketing Training.
